Tenancy

Chambers welcomes applications for tenancy and door tenancy from experienced barristers with an established practice at all levels, particularly those under 10 years' Call.

Applicants can talk informally in confidence to any barrister in the first instance. Formal applications should be sent to our Head of Chambers, Clifford Payton. Applications should include a CV and current practice details. All applications will be treated in accordance with Chambers' Equality and Diversity and will be dealt with in full confidence.

Pupillage/Third Sixes

Chambers does not offer pupillage or take 'third six-months' pupils.

Mini Pupillage/Work Experience

Chambers receives a large number of requests for /work experience. Because of our small size and the way in which Alpha Court Chambers is run, we cannot offer traditional However, we are able to offer (unfunded) odd days here and there convenient. Mini pupils are expected to be able to make their own way to and to be appropriately dressed in business suits or similar. Interested candidates should in the first instance send their CV (preferably no more than 2 pages long) with a hand-written covering letter to the Head of Chambers at the Alcester address shown on the 'Contact Us' page. They should explain why they are interested in a career at the bar and the steps they have taken to find out more about such a career. While all such applications will be considered on their merits, we can only offer assistance to a very small number of exceptional candidates.
